Service Selection Commission has released combined graduate level examination notification for the year 2016-17. Online registration for this examination has been started from 13th February 2016 and the last date for the Part I registration is 11th March 2016. Dear CGL aspirants, you are advised to complete your registration process as early as possible and do not wait for the last date of registration.

Now, Come on the topic that how to crack this examination. This examination is different than other higher level exam like IAS, PCS examination. If a person have good command over mathematics and English only the he/she can achieve good score in this examination because in total 600 marks, there are 550 marks on mathematics(total 250 Marks), English(total 250 marks) and reasoning(50 Marks). It means that if you have technical background then this job is easy to grab. In other exams like IAS/PCS, you have to more concentrate on General knowledge, history, Science, geography, etc. there is no doubt that this is A Grade job but it is much competitive than CGL examination.
Offline/Online preliminary examination is going to be conducted on 8th May & 22th May 2016. So you have only maximum 3 months for a solid preparation. If you are going to take this examination for the first time then I want to tell you that it is necessary for 6 months hard preparation to qualify. Previously, SSC CGL was conducting this examination in three phases called as tear 1, tear 2 and finally Interview. But, now Interview phase has been discarded from this examination. So, only two phases are there. Here is the scheme of examination:-

Dear SSC aspirants! To qualify cutoff mark in CGL examination does not assure you final selection. If you really want to get selection in final examination then you must achieve 120+ in you preliminary examination and 300+ in your mains examination but you want interview post in CGL examination then you must score 130+ in prelim and 320+ in mains examination. How to Score 140+ in Prelim Examination:-
Scoring 140+ in prelim exam is not a big task. If you are working hard then then you can cross this score. here is the strategy to garb 140+ in prelim:-
1. Scoring 40+ in reasoning is not a difficult task
2. Practice hard to achieve 40+ in mathematics. It is difficult but but not impossible.
3. You have to score 35+ or above 40. solve all previous year papers to achieve this goal.
4. General Studies is uncertain and you need not concentrate much on this. Just regularly read monthly current affairs, little bit science, history questions, butter to read "target" magazine which cover most of the GS. throughout you can get minimum 20+ in this.
This is the way you can reach a score of 140+
Dear SSC aspirants take this examination seriously and study hard because year-by-year cutoff is increasing.
